Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga has announced Roger J. Thompson, Ed.D., as its next president, effective July 22, 2024.
With nearly four decades of experience as a higher education executive, Thompson is a national expert in enrollment management. During his 14 years at the University of Oregon, where he served most recently as vice president of student services and enrollment management, he set record enrollment numbers, supported capital construction, and secured the largest scholarship gift in the university’s history.
Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from California State University in Long Beach, a master’s degree from the University of Central Missouri, and a doctorate in higher education policy and administration from the University of Southern California.
