Building Hope Together as Young Lasallians

ISYL DelegatesThe group of more than 40 delegates to the 3rd International Symposium of Young Lasallians has released a message to the Lasallian Family. The delegates gathered at the Generalate of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Rome from February 10 – 14, 2014, to identify and prioritize objectives and lines of action for the Young Lasallians Movement. Building Hope Together was the theme of this International Symposium of Young Lasallians that brought together Lasallians from more than 30 countries across the Institute.

Brother Álvaro Rodriguez Echeverría, FSC, Superior General of the Institute, presented the delegates with a challenge to be Generation ‘H’ – the Hope Generation, committed to building together a world that is more livable, more human, and more fraternal.

The participants of the symposium delivered a message to the Institute and the Lasallian Family, explaining how the Young Lasallian Movement plans to awaken awareness of the personal and collective vocational journey of adolescents and young adults involved in the Lasallian Educational Mission.

Throughout the symposium, the delegates from the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) shared their experiences in daily blog posts, which also included contributions from other Regions.
