The Institute will host the forthcoming Inter-congregational Meeting of Brothers at the FSC Generalate in Rome from September 2- 29, 2012. Focusing on “The Identity and Mission of the Religious Brother in the World Today,” the gathering aims to take an in-depth look at the common identity and mission of Brothers in the Church and the world today, foster mutual knowledge and relationships among the Institutes, have an inter-congregational formation experience, share a joint formation experience, encourage Brothers to meet on local levels, and draw up materials that will help in continuing prayer and reflection.
The following religious congregations will be represented at the meeting: Brothers of Christian Instruction, Brothers of the Holy Family, Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Brothers of Saint Gabriel, Brothers of Our Lady of Mercy, Edmund Rice Christian Brothers, Marist Brothers, and Brothers of the Christian Schools.
