Manhattan College in New York was named one of the top 100 “Best Values in Private Colleges” by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. The list ranks colleges and universities in the US, based on their ability to deliver high-quality education at an affordable price.
The Lasallian college placed 87th out of 600 private educational institutions surveyed. The quality section of the survey considered SAT and ACT standardized test scores, application, admission and graduation rate, and the student-to-faculty ratio. Total financial cost, average student debt at graduation, and percentage of financial aid provided were some of the key areas evaluated in the affordability section of the survey.
The survey analyzed private universities and liberal arts colleges separately. The rankings appear in the December 2010 issue of the magazine.
