Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado, has announced the appointment of Sam Govea as interim principal for the 2023-2024 school year, effective immediately. Govea, who served as the school’s chief athletic officer, joined the Mullen community in the fall of 2022. He has served in Lasallian education for nearly 40 years, including at his alma mater, Cathedral High School in El Paso, Texas, and later Saint Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The search will continue for a permanent principal.
