“Culture of Vocations” is the theme of the July issue of LUMEN, a newsletter for Young Lasallians. Developing a culture of vocations is one of the four priority areas of Young Lasallians worldwide. The other three are service with the poor, communications and networking, and sustainable organizational growth. This issue of LUMEN highlights the meaning and importance of vocations by sharing stories of vocational discernment and reflections from throughout the world. The Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) is highlighted on page four with a reflection from Chris Swain, director of the office of Lasallian vocation ministry, on how his service as a Lasallian Volunteer played a significant role in his vocational journey.
