New Space for St. Raymond HS for Boys

lobby

A state-of-the-art, 14,000 square foot addition welcomed students at St. Raymond High School for Boys in Bronx, NY as the school began its 51st year.

Over the past three years, St. Raymond Church and St. Raymond High School for Boys have worked with the Archdiocese of New York in making plans and raising funds for this much-needed addition. The former Con Edison building has served as the Boys parish high school since it opened in 1960.

The building extension houses new facilities for art, music, computers and guidance services. As St. Raymond launches the new school year, classrooms are equipped with wireless internet and SMARTboards.

The past few years have shown major changes and improvements at the school. Over the past two years, St. Raymond has increased the number of graduates who earn Regents diplomas from 52 percent to 98.9 percent. In the past five years, ACT scores have increased by 20 percent.
