Lasallian Higher Education Colloquy

The Lasallian Region of North America will host a higher education colloquy focused on Lasallian pedagogy in November 2023. Educators who have a variety of experiences with and understanding of Lasallian pedagogy are invited to apply. The colloquy will offer an opportunity to exchange ideas, insights and experiences of the transformative power of Lasallian education. Participants will be enriched both professionally and spiritually as they share resources, build and strengthen networks, and further advance the body of Lasallian thought and practice.

The colloquy will start November 15 with an evening reception and conclude with dinner on November 17 at the Q Center in St. Charles, Illinois. It will be held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Huether Lasallian Conference. Colloquy participants will be invited to attend select Huether events.

HOW TO APPLY

Colloquy applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, August 1 through September 15. Twenty participants will be invited, and they will be notified on or before September 18. The program includes all colloquy sessions, meals and overnight accommodations. Attendees are responsible for their travel expenses.

Applicants must consider:

• Why is the topic of Lasallian pedagogy important to you?
• What do you hope to gain from this experience?
• How will you consider connecting your research or praxis to the topic of Lasallian pedagogy?
